🧭 Checklist Creation – Help Guide
Purpose
This guide helps you create a new checklist from scratch or using a template in Seyo. A checklist defines what will be inspected, how responses are collected, and how results are scored.
1. Access the Create Checklist Page
Go to Checklists → + Create New
Choose one of the following:
Start from Scratch – build your own checklist question by question
Use Template – pick a pre-made checklist from the Public Library
2. Add Basic Details
Field | Description | Example |

Description | Briefly describe the checklist purpose. | Ensures all food preparation areas meet hygiene standards. |
Tags | Add 3–10 keywords to categorize the checklist. | Hygiene, Safety, Kitchen |
Version | Track updates (e.g., V1, V2). | V1.0 |
3. Add Sections and Questions
Click “+ Add Section” to organize your checklist (optional).
Within each section, click “+ Add Question”.
Choose a Response Type for each question:
✅ Yes / No
🔢 Score / Rating (1–5)
📝 Text / Comment
📷 Image Capture
📍 Location
📄 Dropdown (Multiple options)
💡 Tip: You can add up to 200 questions per checklist.
4. Configure Scoring (Optional)
Enable Scoring Mode to apply points for each question.
Define Pass/Fail, Weighted Scoring, or Percentage-based scoring.
Seyo automatically calculates the overall average score (0–100%) during inspections.
5. Review & Save
Click Preview to verify layout and question flow.
Use Edit to make adjustments.
When ready, click Save.
6. Schedule or Share
After saving, you can:
Schedule an inspection using this checklist.
Share it with team members or other organizations (based on permissions).
Duplicate or Archive old versions if needed.

Use consistent question phrasing for clarity.
Keep section names short and meaningful.
Use tags wisely — they help in search and reporting.
Always test your checklist once before releasing it for actual inspections.
